    Installation

    This will help you to install the aftermarket 1080p 25Hz front camera into your car.

     

    A) Hardware

    1. Wire camera cable from front of car to the headunit.
    2. Plug the camera cable into the 5th white plug.

     

    B) Software

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 1617)
    4. Feature Setting
    5. Select Double recording
    6. Save (top right corner, the headunit will restart)
    7. App menu
    8. Recorder
    9. DVR
    10. Camera type
    11. Select front camera AHD 1080p 25Hz
    12. If you purchased our AHD 1080p 25Hz reverse camera select this one too.

    This will help you to install the aftermarket 1080p 25Hz rear camera into your car.

     

    A) Hardware

    1. Plug in Single cable with yellow plug in the head unit
    2. Connect camera cable with yellow plug. 
    3. Connect other end of camera cable with yellow plug of camera.
    4. Connect the red cable with power source of rear light of your car.
    5. Wire camera cable from front of car to back of car.

     

    B) Software

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 1617)
    4. Backcar settings
    5. Select 1080p 25Hz (if you want to retain the factory check what camera is build in your car, most cars have a CVBS-NTSC)
    6. Save (top right corner)

    The unit will restart now. After the restart, the setting are live. Engage reverse to test the camera. If the camera doesn't show up automatically, check the hardware parts again. Make sure all cables are connected properly.

     

    This will help you to enable the steering wheel control.

    Please make sure the ignition key is on "On" otherwise it wont work.

     

    A) Non canbus model

    Go to:

      1. All apps
      2. Steering wheel learning
      3. Press Start
      4. Follow the steps on the screen. (make sure to long press the buttons on the steering wheel as requested)
      5. Press finish

     

     

    B) Canbus model (settings are usually pre-set for you)

    Go to:

      1. MyCar
      2. Diagnosis
      3. Car
      4. Select your canbus decoder (name on canbus decoder)
      5. Select your Car and Model

     

    Please make sure, that the data cable of the canbus decoder is plugged in:

     

    If some but not all SW buttons work, you can program those via the MyCar App, since the McCar app is the link between the board computer and the head unit.

     

    If your Car is factory amplified you need to adjust the settings to have sound.

     

    Hardware:

    1. Check if the AMP-C trigger cable is connected, so the Amplifier knows to turn on when the headunit is switched on. If your car has a canbus, the AMP-C trigger wire is often controlled by the canbus decoder.

    Software (canbus model):

    1. MyCar
    2. Settings
    3. Other settings
    4. Function select
    5. Amplifier

    Software (non-canbus model and aftermarket amplifier):

    1. CarSettings
    2. General Settings
    3. Select Amplify

     

    If the side buttons are not responding due to factory reset.

     

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 1617)
    4. Touch Study
    5. Touch Study
    6. Save (top right corner)

    Some car models do share car door information with your head unit. If your door window information is reversed (mostly happens for front doors), we just have to change a setting.

    Go to: 

    1. MyCar
    2. Settings
    3. Door window settings
    4. FDoor exchange

    That's it!

    DAB+ allows you to receive digital radio. The quality is better compared to the old analog AM/FM standard and you also have more channels.

     

    Antenna:

    1. Stick the antenna on the passenger side of the windscreen as per instruction
    2. Wire it to the back of the headunit
    3. Connect it to the 6-pin USB plug (P32 user manual)

     

    Software:

    1. Open Playstore
    2. Download the DAB-Z Player

     

    If your camera is horizontally mirrored, you can change this in the settings.

     

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. General
    3. Reverse Mirror

    All the supplied antennas are mounted to the headunit and kept behind the dash.

    None of them have to be visible.

    Please mount them as shown in the user manual (P32).
     
    From top to bottom:
    1. 5Ghz Wi-Fi antenna
    2. GPS (stick on plastic not on metal to avoid interferences)
    3. 4G (sim card antenna)

    The DAB+ antenna is plugged into the 6pin USB plug.

     
    An OBD2 scanner empowers you to check diagnostic codes. Having this handy tool means you don't need to hire a professional each time the engine light flicks on. Reading diagnostic codes with an OBD2 scanner can save your business a lot of money in the long run. OBD2 scanners can also provide accurate mileage readings.

    This will help you to retain the factory rear camera of your car.

     

    A) Hardware

    1. Plug in Single cable with yellow RCA plug in the head unit
    2. Connect camera retention cable with the yellow RCA plug. 
    3. Connect other end to the factory camera plug.

     

    B) Software

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 1617)
    4. Backcar settings
    5. Select CVBS-NTSC, this is the most standard factory reverse camera. If it does not work check online what camera is build in your car and select acordingly.
    6. Save (top right corner)

    The unit will restart now. After the restart, the setting are live. Engage reverse to test the camera. If the camera doesn't show up automatically, check the hardware parts again. Make sure all cables are connected properly.

    If the side retractable antenna does not come up when the radio is switched on.

    Ensure, that the power antenna cable is connected to the ANT: Power cable (user manual P31)

     

    Go to:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 16176699)
    4. Customized Settings
    5. Radio antenna powered

     

    Some cars, especially the ones with smaller antennas have a stronger radio booster in their factory head unit, while others with larger antennas do not. To compensate for that, we include a radio booster in our delivery.

     

    Hardware:

    1. plug male antenna cable into the new head unit
    2. plug male antenna cable of the car in the radio booster
    3. connect 12V blue cable to 12V ACC

     

    Additional radio settings:

    1. CarSettings
    2. System Settings (Navigation Bar)
    3. Factory Settings (Password 16176699)
    4. Radio setting
    5. FM sensitivity

     

     

    Some car models like the Ford Ranger PX II and Mitsubishi Tritons have a split factory head unit.

    That means, that not only the screen has to be unplugged, but also the actual factory head unit. The actual factory head unit has the plug with the speaker wires and 12V suply in the back. The screen on the top does not have that plug, and will therefore not power on the new head unit, if that is the only plug inserted in the adapter harness!
